Teaching staff from Iasi received information

Today, on the 8th of July 2015, on the project “Partnership for inclusion!”, 18 teachers from the communes of Iasi County received training during a study visit paid to the NGOs of Iasi – project partners. This was a good occasion to find out information on the projects and their activities and to find new ways of professional collaboration. The 18 teaching staff from the communes of Iasi visited Salvati Copiii Organization – the Centre of Parental Counselling, COTE Foundation and Alaturi de Voi Romania Foundation. Furthermore, the group of teachers visited the Social Educative Centre for people with disabilities Galata – within the General Department of Social Assistance and Child Protection Iasi. Here, they found out information on the activities of the centre, they met the beneficiaries during the occupational therapy program and visited their sheltered dwelling places. The participants admired the decorative objects made by the people with disabilities and were impressed by the social services at the centre. They concluded that these services and this type of sheltered houses should also exist in the rural area, because many people with disabilities are living here, too. During the study visit at ADV Romania, the teaching staff found out details regarding the project “Partnership for inclusion!” and were open to refer social cases which they identified in their communities to the project partners. Mrs. Alis Ghebuta, from COTE Foundation Iasi, presented the programs of the organization and the service offered to the youth. The visitors were very receptive and surprised in a pleasant way by the activities developed by the young people at the workshops of Util Deco social enterprise – developed and supported by ADV Romania. This study visit is the third on the project after the visits made on the 22nd and 18th of June 2015, when the social assistants from the communes of Iasi and Vaslui Counties learned about the models of assistance of World Vision Organization– the offices from Iasi and Vaslui Romania, Bethany Foundation for Social Services, Alternative Sociale Association and Alaturi de Voi Romania Foundation. The event was organized on the project “Partnership for inclusion” which is developed by a consortium of 9 institutions: – Alaturi de Voi Romania Foundation - applicant, in partnership with: The General Department of Social Assistance and Child Protection Iasi, The General Department of Social Assistance and Child Protection Vaslui, Alternative Sociale Association, Salvati Copiii Association, COTE Foundation, Bethany Foundation of Social Services, Star of Hope Romania Foundation and World Vision Romania Foundation, the offices from Iasi and Vaslui. The project budget is 2.454.933,99 RON, out of which 245.493,40 RON will be ensured by the project partners and self-contribution. The project was financed within the call of proposals “SYNERGIES FOR THE FUTURE – young people at risk within the Program RO10 ”Children and young people at risk and local and regional initiatives for reducing national inequalities and for promoting social inclusion”, program developed within the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2009-2014.
